As Top Producing agents in Charlottesville Virginia we at Hegarty & Peery Realtors don't mind tooting our own horn, but it is nice to hear what others have to say as well...

"To whom it may concern:

I am writing to express complete satisfaction with Maureen Hegarty and Robert Peery, who served as my real estate agent team recently in a transaction in Charlottesville VA. I found them to be tireless, diligent, always pleasant and always willing to go that extra distance to make the deal work. This particular deal was the purchase of an occupied single family home and there were many variables for all parties to consider. Maureen and Rob tuned in to all the parties quickly and easily absorbed the subtleties of the deal, and handled the negotiations deliberately but with a light and human touch. They established an excellent rapport with the sellers and their agent and also gently coaxed me along to where I needed to be as the buyer. The deal went perfectly, and I was able to acquire a highly desired property. I will seek out Maureen and Rob for future negotiations, and would recommend their services without reservation to anyone buying or selling a home."

July 2010
(An Open Letter to seekers of Real Estate services in the central VA market; I purchased a home
in May 2010 with the assistance of Maureen Hegarty.)
Dear All:
It is with deep gratitude that I write this letter of thanks and recommendation for the assistance
rendered by Maureen Hegarty for real estate services in purchasing our Albemarle County home
in Virginia. Without reserve, I found Ms. Hegarty’s performance in these duties to excel above
all other real estate agents I have had the privilege to come in contact with or to have done
business with.
Perhaps among her finest qualities is her skillful handling of resisting the clients urge to over-bid
on property, which, in my case, would have led to a less-desirable outcome. As buyer-agent she
balanced the needs for timeliness, patience and in offering proper valuation on suitable offers.
Her other professional real estate skills are likewise just as astute in contract negotiations, value
awareness, aggressiveness and suitability of a property for a buyers criteria. A notable attribute
for an agent that should not be overlooked is the ability to tell your own client “no.” Maureen
will advise you politely and professionally to keep you from making mistakes during the search
and bid/offering process.
Her business partner, Rob Peery, brings to the process an added valuable voice but with a
different perspective. Words cannot express thanks enough for the huge depth this brings to the
real estate purchasing experience. Working with these two agents helped me in avoiding lifechanging
mistakes because they provided broader perspectives on value and suitability.
The home I purchased is, without reserve, the best possible solution that was available in the real
estate market during a 6-month search. Maureen was consistently and optimistically helpful
throughout the process and carefully prevented me from overbidding on four other homes of
lesser-quality and suitability.
Purchasers of homes in the central VA real estate market should, without question, contact
Maureen Hegarty for an interview to discover if her skills and professionalism match your needs
and criteria.

Ed and Linda Shifflet

"Mo Hegarty and Rob Peery represented my husband and I in the sale of our home in Charlottesville VA. We had had the home on the market for over six months as a 'for sale by owner' without success. Many other agents offered to help us list our home but it wasn't until we met Mo and Rob that we even considered the financial investment that comes along with listing a home with a Realtor. Ultimately we did list with them and within three weeks our home was under contract and a month later the sale closed. We feel very fortunate to have had Mo and Rob represent us. It was one of the best investments we have ever made."
